As a private tutor, I have taught English and Maths for international students attempting the Singapore AEIS/S-AEIS examinations; English and Maths to international students from international schools in Singapore; Maths and Chinese to local Singaporean students for close to 15 years. I also taught GEP Maths and Olympiad Maths to local students including my son. I can teach fully in English and also offer bilingual (English-Chinese) teaching, depending on student needs.
作为一名私人家教，我为参加新加坡 AEIS/S-AEIS 考试的国际学生和新加坡国际学校的国际学生辅导英语和数学，并为新加坡本地学生辅导数学和中文，至今教学已近15年了。我也教本地学生高才班GEP的数学和奥林匹克数学，我儿子是其中一个。看学生需求，我可以全英文教学，也可以双语（英汉）教学。

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Master’s Degree in Economics from China. While working in Singapore for 16 years, I have dealt extensively with people from diverse backgrounds from more than 20 countries, speaking and writing English everyday.

我在中国取得了英语学士学位和经济学硕士学位。在新加坡工作16年了，已与二十多个国家的人打交道，每天说写英语。

When I was at school, I always topped the cohort from Primary 1 till High School. One of the notable achievements was being conferred as “三好学生” in the entire Hebei province. Furthermore, I also participated in many Olympiad competitions during my primary and secondary school years for English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry, winning a few competitive prizes along the way. During my Master’s Degree education, I was nominated as Vice President for the Student Union. The consistent outstanding performance throughout my academic career should be credited to my unique, effective study methods and techniques, as I often outperformed peers who were considered to be either brighter or more diligent than me. My students have learnt from me not only the subject knowledge but also the appropriate strategies and methodology to prepare for examinations and how to successfully conquer them in the future.

在我上学期间，从小学到高中我一直在学校里名列前茅。值得一提的是我曾被评为河北省的三好学生。在小学和初中，我也参加了英语、数学、物理、化学许多奥林匹克竞赛并获得奖项。在读研期间，曾被选为学生会的副主席。一直优异的学习成绩应该归功于我独特有效的学习方法和技巧，因为我经常超越那些比我聪明或更用功的同学。我的学生不仅从我学到了知识，而且学会了正确的备考战略和战术，来成功应战将来的每场考试。

In addition, I used to teach part time at polytechnic level during my Masters in China and was also an ex-tutor with Singapore Success Master tuition center. With the accumulated years of tutoring experience, I am well versed in the Singapore syllabus for the subjects I’m teaching. A lot of the students that I have tutored achieved good results for their AEIS/S-AEIS examinations. Some have passed it within a single try while others have managed to achieve success after two attempts. Some of my students who passed the AEIS/S-AEIS continued to attend my tuition for a period of time in order to catch up with their local peers.

 另外，在中国攻读硕士期间，我曾在大专院校兼职任教，也曾在新加坡Success Master补习中心任教。 通过多年的辅导经验，我非常熟悉我所教科目的新加坡教学大纲。 我辅导过的很多学生在AEIS/S-AEIS考试中都取得了不错的成绩。 有些学生在一次尝试中就通过了AEIS，而另一些则通过 两次尝试成功了。为了尽快追上本地学生，我的一些学生通过AEIS/S-AEIS考试后仍继续跟我学习了一段时间。

Tang Longke – Secondary 2 student | 唐珑珂 – 考进公立中二

Tang Longke – Tang Longke came from Nanning Xinmin Secondary School, Guangxi. After spending 3 months of my intensive tuition, he passed the S-AEIS exam in Feb 2012 and was admitted into a local government school – Fajar Secondary School.

唐珑珂来自广西南宁新民中学，经过我们仅仅3个月的强化培训，顺利通过2012年2月的S-AEIS考试，被新加坡政府法嘉中学录取！

Zheng Zhongyi – Secondary 1 student | 郑中益 – 考进公立中一

Zheng Zhongyi came to Singapore as a Primary 6 student from Guangzhou, China. Before joining our tuition class, he attempted the S-AEIS test but did not manage to succeed. After a few months of tuition with us, he passed his S-AEIS in Feb 2013 and gained admission to Yio Chu Kang Secondary School.

Wei Danyang – Secondary 1 student | 魏丹阳 – 考进公立中一

Wei Danyang witnessed dramatic improvements in her Maths and English grammar, vocabulary and comprehension after spending eight months with us. She passed her S-AEIS exam in 2014 and was accepted by Whitley Secondary School. She was highly satisfied with our teaching and thus went on to recommend her schoolmates to us.

Liu Yujia – Primary 5 student | 刘雨佳 – 考进公立小五

Liu Yujia, who completed P6 in Beijing, spent 9 months in tuition with us to prepare for the AEIS examination in 2015. We covered the entire Singapore English syllabus from P2 to P6 in 9 months! You can imagine the teaching efficiency and effectiveness. Her Maths also improved under my tutoring and she consistently attained at least 95% accuracy for all her mock-up exams. She gained admission to Seng Kang Primary School.

Liao Si Yi – Primary 3 student | 廖思怡 – 考进公立小三

Si Yi, nine-year-old girl in P3 from Shenzhen, attained tremendous improvements in English and Maths under my AEIS tutoring for 10 months, and finally was enrolled into Woodlands Ring Primary School

思怡，9岁，来自深圳小学三年级，  在我10个月的AEIS辅导后，英语和数学取得了巨大进步，最终被政府公立Woodlands Ring小学 录取。

Peng Jia Jun – Primary 4 student |彭嘉俊 – 考进国际学校小四

Jia Jun, a P4 student from Guangzhou, made significant improvements in English and Maths under our tutoring, and successfully passed the entrance exam and was admitted to Canadian International School in Singapore.             

Wang Zihao & Wang Zijie – Australian International School | 王子豪&王子杰 – 澳洲国际学校中学部

Zihao and Zijie are brothers who hail from China and started English tuition with me a few weeks ago. Although they have been studying at AIS (Australian International School) for quite long time, their command of English is weak and can neither hold a full conversation in English nor fully grasp what an English speaker is speaking. Hence, I have to teach both of them in a mix of English and Chinese. The boys have very limited vocabulary and were not taught proper English grammar rules. They are unable to speak in a complete English sentence and have limited concept of what the structure of a proper sentence should be. In this regard, they are unable to fully comprehend their school English teacher in class since the medium of instruction is entirely in English. After 3 weeks of my daily tuition, I have seen positive improvement in their English proficiency. They are developing their vocabulary by learning 40 new words a day, while learning to form sentences using them. I have also taught them the correct English pronunciation which can enhance their memorization of English words faster. I have a plan to teach them the entire grammar rules soon. They cooperate very well with me and I believe they will achieve significant improvements within a year if they are diligent and we can sustain the study plan I have designed for them. Their target is to cross over from their matriculation class to the mainstream International Baccalaureate program as early as possible.

子豪和子杰是来自中国的兄弟俩，几个星期前开始上我的英语课。虽然他们在澳洲国际学校学习了挺长一段时间，但英语很差，既不能英语对话也不能完全听懂对方在说什么。因此，我不得不双语教学。他们的单词量很小，之前没学过英语语法。他们不能讲完整的句子，不清楚句子结构是怎样的。因此，他们不能完全听懂学校英语老师因为是全英文授课。他们跟我学三个星期后，我已看到了进步。他们每天学习40个新单词并学会用其造句。我也教会了他们正确的英语发音，这能帮助他们快速记忆单词。我有计划教会他们全部的语法知识。他们与我合作得很好，我相信如果他们勤奋并按我制定得学习计划执行，一年内能取得巨大进步。他们的目标是早日从预科班进入IB主流班。

Some of the Singapore local students I tutored:

1. P6 foundation maths – A student staying in Jurong East SG who used to fail in his Maths exams finally passed in his PSLE exam after attending my tuition.                               

2. Two siblings in Jurong East attended my tuition. The elder sibling, a Sec2 student improved her Maths marks from 40+ to 72. The younger one, a P4 Student, scored 24 marks more for Chinese than his previous exam within one semester.            

3. Another family in Boon Lay – a Sec4 student who often failed in her A Maths subject. She scored well in her “O” level exam under my tutelage for one year. Her younger brother, a P6 student improved his Maths from 50+ marks to 72 marks in his SA2 exam.                               

4. Sec4 Chinese – a student in Chua Chu Kang whom I tutored for less than 6 months improved by 19 marks in her exam                             

5. Sec2 higher Chinese – the student scored 17 marks more than last term within 3 months after attending my tuition.                      

6. P6 Chinese- Bryan from Woodlands Ring primary school improved his Chinese from 22 marks to 45 marks in CA1 after tutoring him for 2 months                      

7. P6 Chinese- Jingheng from Woodlands Ring primary school improved his Chinese from 30+ to 53 marks in his SA1 under my tutoring for 4 months                      

8.P5 Maths- Hafiz and Irfan failed in their Maths exams before taking my tuition, but last semester they passed their SA1 after joining my Maths tuition groups.                       

9. Yuan Jun, a local P6 student, saw dramatic improvements in English from 60% to 82% after attending our tuition for 3 months.                      

10. Tera, nine-year-old girl in P3, attained tremendous improvements in Maths and were awarded “Top Progress Award” in her school after tuition with me for 4 months.
